With a slightly darker color and slightly higher alcohol content than the classic ERDINGER Weissbier 'with fine yeast', the 'winter brew' offers a really pleasant change at the coldest time of the year, a time when we like to treat ourselves to something special. Available between November and February.

Bottle 50cl. An almost clear golden beer with good head and lacing. Nose is more malty than fruity. A creamy beer with good malty notes even caramel and slightly toasted notes. Good hops bitterness, some metallic hints too. Yeast is less perfumed compared to other hefeweizen. Not bad, more a pilsener kind of than a heifeweizen.

Clear orange with a huge white head. Aroma is sweet, wheaty and fruity. Flavor is rather sweet and light bitter. Finishes sweet. Weaker than other hefe-weizens including Erdingers regular. 100211

tomciccateri (1028) - Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA - JAN 28, 2011
Bottle, poured without the sediment at Brussels Beer Cafe in Kuala Lumpur. Pours a dense dark gold color with fkne bubbles and a crothy white head. No wheaty aroma even from the authentic weissbier glass. Medium to big body, soft mouthfeel, mellow wheat flavor. Not crisp or effervescent but somewhat rich and with a slightly sweet malty character. A nice substantial wheat beer.

Light orange coloured. Medium head that should hold some longer. Smell is fruits tops and spices. Light sour. Taste is watery, hops, spiced. At the end some malts, light bitter. Misses a serious boost.
