COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With a slightly darker color and slightly higher alcohol content than the classic ERDINGER Weissbier 'with fine yeast', the 'winter brew' offers a really pleasant change at the coldest time of the year, a time when we like to treat ourselves to something special. Available between November and February.

Rating #668, flaske hos Amer

09-DEC-2011, bottle @home. Cloudy orange with lasting white head. Yeasty nose with clove and banana. Taste much the same with a bready caramelly addition. Nice creaminess, just a hint of tartness, no real bitterness.

0.5 l bottle. Mild clove, pepper and vanilla aroma with honeyish malt. The flavor is fairly balaced betweeen clovey spiciness and honeyish bready maltiness. Some soft alcohol is coming through giving the impresssion a bit higher alcohol weizen. Tastes like a blend of märtzen and weizen, not highly complex but still very pleasant and drinkable.

Bottle. Pours orangey yellow. Cloudy with white head. Like standard Erdinger if a little heavier (maltier). Typical hefe notes of banana and clove. Delious.

Pours cloudy orange with a high foam. Very typical in the hefeweizen category. Aroma wheats. Taste slightly fruity with some banana. Very typical wheat beer. Not Bad.

5.6% Cloudy yellow with a nice head, I could not really detect any difference from the classic Erdinger Weissbier but I didn’t have one to compare, it was still very good though.

0.5l bottle. This is a clouded dark orangish beer with a massive lasting fluffy and heavy lacing white head. The aroma has wheat, some spices and a hint of banana, bubblegum and cloves. It has a lively carbonation level and a slick oily mouthfeel. Flavors are yeasty and light alcohol-spicy. Also your normal wheat and light banana flavors before it ends malty leaving the mouth both buttery an watery all in once. Not horrible flavors and quite easy to drink, but no Christmas brew if you ask me.

From a 500 ml bottle. Orange, slightly amber and hazy. Pours a good and quite stable head. The main aroma is clove, a bit orange. Promises a nice winter-feeling. Tastes like clove and a little banana, malty and yeasty. Medium bodied and not a very high level of carbonization. creamy texture and a very little bitterness at the end.

(bottle) pours a murky golden colour with a forthy white head. sticky-sweet aroma of canned peaches, caramel, sweet spices and marzipan. flavour is mostly the same, again very sweet, with lots of cherries and raisins and a hint of popcorn. unnecessarily heavy-bodied with average carbonation.
