COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With a slightly darker color and slightly higher alcohol content than the classic ERDINGER Weissbier 'with fine yeast', the 'winter brew' offers a really pleasant change at the coldest time of the year, a time when we like to treat ourselves to something special. Available between November and February.

I quite enjoy this seasonal brew. pours with a large frothy head with a hint of fruit in the aroma. Refreshing with yeastiness and hints of fruits and little aftertaste

Nice head, orange coloured body, good consistence, caramel, malt and fruity highlights. Not too fruity though. Nice winterbier. bought at Coolers, Dublin in 50cl bottle.

Bottle, 50 cl. (bought @ Geers) Hazy darkgolden color, with off-white head. Aroma malts, some coriander, yeast. Medium body. Taste sweet, yeast, coriander, fruity, spices. Good.

500ml bottle. Hazy orange body with a thick, fast diapering off white head. Vague wheat malt aroma with a hint of yeast. Flavor is relatively sweet, fruity and traces of caramel. Medium to light body with aggressive carbonation. Not exactly what I had expected from a Christmas brew, but OK enough as a dunkel weissbier 2nd Christmas day.

I was looking forward to this beer. The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. But the flavor is disappointing. Not fruity enough, much too malty. I exspected more.

Nose of wheat, malts and yeast.. Pours a dark brown beer with a fine beige head. For a beer quite spicy, with pepper, vannilla and raisins all present. Quite nice but there are better Hefes out there.

Bottle at home ... every so slight hazy yellow big short lived foam head ... nice wheat nose ... juicy hop with some banana tones ... touch of dry hoppy lagerness ... little peppery

500ml bottle. Pours a big and loose white head with short duration. Amber body colour, a bit cloudy. Sweet spicy aroma mixed with fresh minerals. Thin - or better; watered - vanilla sweetness in flavour added by wheat, herbs and a light touch of sweet citrus fruits. Dry and abrupt ending. Diluted palate. So schmeckt der Winter - Well, not quite, but the nice winter label reminds me of the snow that we still is missing up north in Tromsø. Coming up soon: two new releases from the Mack Brewery (04.01.2008).

Bottle. Moderate malty & hoppy, light sour. Big foamy white head; cloudy orange body. Light sweet & bitter, average duration. Medium body, dry texture, lively carbonation. Nice one.
