With a slightly darker color and slightly higher alcohol content than the classic ERDINGER Weissbier 'with fine yeast', the 'winter brew' offers a really pleasant change at the coldest time of the year, a time when we like to treat ourselves to something special. Available between November and February.

Pours rusty orange with ridiculous head. Tastes a whole lot like Icehouse or any other beer served at a low-end frat party. Really disappointing.

Vaahtoyllätys, lieneekö pullo huonosti säilytetty. Samea ja väriltään kauniin kullankeltainen. Mieto tuoksu ja maku, erittäin kevyt lager. (20.12.2014)

Bottle 50cl. Hazy to cloudy pale amber color, a lot of tiny bubbles, large frothy off-white head, recedes slowly, good lacing; yeasty and fruity aroma, peach, apricot, orange peel, wheat; taste medium sweet and light sour, fruity, bit wheat; light body, watery texture, average carbonation, aftertaste begins mild sweet and sour, light bitterness joins towards the finish, spicy notes; a rather thin Hefeweisse, that lacks real yeastiness in taste and aftertaste.

.5l bottle, pours a hazy golden-orange beer. Little offwhite head, diminishes slightly fast. Can spot a sweet but bitter taste, lots of spices, much more taste than regular erdinger.. like it!

L: -pours a hazy golden-orange with a small frothy white head -high visible carbonation -head dissipates fairly quick S: -very grassy and spicy (Clove,Cinnamon) with a big honey note T: Follows the nose plus a sweet candy and slight elderberry with christmas-esque spices F: -high carbonation, medium body O: Sets itself apart from the regular Erdinger with a more descernable sweetness and loads of spices

Pours a hazy dark yellow. Aromas are not super. Some apricot, citrus. Malty and some citrus bitterness flavours. Sub par hefe.

Probably the best Hefeweizen of the Erdinger brewery (and they are pretty good at Hefeweizen). A strong aroma of fine yeast. Very satisfying beer with a great texture.

0,5 l Appearance: orange-yellow body, with a small white head that doesn’t last long. Aroma: very faint malts, wheat and banana. Taste A watery wheat and banana and a hint of clove and citrus in the finish. thin-medium body, average carbonation A uninterresting thin Weizen is not what you expect for a Christmas/ Winter beer.

Unfortunately, my bottle was many months past the "best by" date, so that needs to be considered. Erdinger Schneeweisse has a medium soapy, crackly, white head, a hazy, vigorously bubbly, hazy, orange appearance, which clouds up, once the caked bottom sediment is loosened and poured in. No lacing left behind. The aroma is of pungent, sweet & sour grain and bread crust. Taste is similar with a very low hop component. Mouthfeel is medium and soft, and Erdinger Schneeweisse finishes semi-dry and highly drinkable. Overall, this would be in the quality and flavor range of a Shock Top or Blue Moon. RJT
