COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With a slightly darker color and slightly higher alcohol content than the classic ERDINGER Weissbier 'with fine yeast', the 'winter brew' offers a really pleasant change at the coldest time of the year, a time when we like to treat ourselves to something special. Available between November and February.

Quite memorable to me, it counts among my absolute favourite beers. Lovely orangey, slgihtly richer than typical hefe colour and typical thick foamy hefe head. Properly described by others, I find its smoothness and slightly lighter flavouring makes it one of the most drinkable hefes on the globe. 3 cheers for Erdinger!

Single bottle purchased from a Netto Discount Markt in Altenberg, Germany on 12/18/2012. Colour: Dark orange, clouded, medium creamy head. Nose: Lots of butterscotch/caramel malt, hint of banana, marshmallow, cream cheese. Very nice. Taste: medium-light sweet, light bitter, medium-light sour. The nose hinted that this one would be quite sweet but it ends up being rather civil. The marshmallow and caramel do appear. A great wood-fired roast is present. Great creamy mouth feel. Hopped light in my opinion but it by no means leaves it empty. A very pleasant drink.

Cloudy orange colour, very lively, huge white head. Aroma is sweet, sugary, banana & wheat. Taste is lightly spicey, not over the top in the bubblegum/banana/cloves stakes, all are restrained. Nice mouthfeel. A superior weisse, deserving of a much higher average score, for those who are bothered by such things

Bottle shared with McTapps. What a great beer. Fruity, easy to drink but still with a full body and some aroma of very tasty malt. Huge one.

5.6% Cloudy yellow with a nice head, I could not really detect any difference from the classic Erdinger Weissbier but I didn’t have one to compare, it was still very good though.

Impressively huge white head. Cloudy golden colour. Fruity wheat aroma. Great taste and a wheaty palate with banana notes. Erdinger never disappoints!

50cl. Pours a cloudy peachy-orange colour with steady bubbles and a beautful head. The nose has oats and fresh cut grass but ends with a persistent vanilla cream note. The taste has porridge notes with bananas and vanilla ice-cream on the end. The palate has a big structure and a really creamy structure but is somehow still refreshing. Overall, it is a lovely complex beer which could actually be sessioned.

Dissapointing, the last beers from this brewery have been dissapointing. I do not know why, it’s flavorless and aromaless, the colour was great.

Bottle. Hazy orange, healthy looking head. Sourish wheat aroma, a bit tart in smell and taste. I’ve been mad-dieting lately in my eternal vanity, so this is my first rating in a while. I efel like this should be special. Ehh. The mouthfeel is hearty and thick, remniscient of a Barbar Winter Bok. A good cold-night specimen for sure.
