Ungstrup (11378), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 24, 2004 A yellow beer with a fine head. The aroma is sweet hoppy with notes of grain. The flavor is sweet malty with a slightly sour hop note to hide the lack of alcohol. It ends on a light wheaty dryness. Fine for an alcoholfree beer. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Mar 3, 2002 Pale orange & hazy. Sweet. Not much character.
Papsoe (10359), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 10, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Well, it had to come: a non-alcohol Weissbier. Appears as if it was intended to be filtered, yet some tiny particles make it slightly hazy. Has some wee fruity notes, but most of all it reminds me of a non-alcohol lager style. Has some of the same sweet, bready touches. No real experience, but not directly unpleasant either. 080501 Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Oct 11, 2001 Updated: Apr 26, 2005Kind of a weird concept, considering how important the phenols and esters from fermentation are to the style. This is fuller than many non-alcs, with the typically wort-y taste. Cloudy tan colour. Touch of banana ester, but quite minimal behind the unfermented malt. A different breed of non-alc, but still a non-alc. yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark Dec 26, 2007 50 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a dense white head. Mild wheaty aroma. Flavour is mild wheaty, dry and slight dusty. Finish is dry and with no real wheat notes nor bitterness.
