UPDATED: MAR 23, 2009 I am giving the annoyingly high rating of a 4.7 simply because I’m so pissed at what I see as a bias against non-alcoholic brews, which I need to work to offset. That said, I think it’s hard to deny that this is an OUTSTANDING non-alcoholic brew. It doesn’t taste exactly like a hefeweizen...more like a beer with hints of the hefeweizen aromas--but this is top-notch as non-alcoholic brews go, so I do think it deserves the 5. I have no complaints. It has a full body, rich and complex aroma, with some hefeweizen characteristics like the fruity tones. There is none of the unpleasant sourness that plagues some poorly-executed Hefeweizens. And the beer has a crisp texture...very refreshing while also being very flavorful. A winner on all counts!

This is a non-alcoholic beer!! What do you want?? Obviously it won’t be as good as a normal weizen but come on!! It’s pretty tasty and nice for a 0.5% abv!! Medium body, quite sweet, not a bad head, perhaps too little carbonation for me. Overall I say it’s a very enjoyable alcohol free drink. And it definitely has a strong wheat flavour!

Skipped last time i was in SA, not this time .. . isn’t that cute, he tried to claw my eyes out .. . light tin gold .. . smooth and silky- true erdinger quality .. . amazing ice cream float foam head .. . i could drink this instead of gatorade/lucozade after a football game .. . That was a right-pretty speech, sir. But I ask you, what is a contract? Webster’s defines it as "an agreement under the law which is unbreakable." Which is unbreakable!

Esta foi até agora a experiência mais parecida com a de beber uma cerveja de trigo com álcool que tive. Extremamente saborosa.

UPDATED: MAY 26, 2004 As far as low alcohol beers go, I'm sold. Great appearance, golden, bright, lots of sediment, big white foamy head. Aroma of slightly sour hops. Some sort of sweet but not quite wholesome flavor as well, reminds me of artificial sweetener. . .Way too much fake carbonation immediately, and that ruins it at the start. But, if you let it sit, it gets quite pleasant. Creamy almost with the big fake? sweetness, it's like toasted marshmallow jelly beans. Weird grain/yeast flavor on the finish. Light body, slightly watery texture. Clean finish. I'm very impressed though.
