The Premium Weissbier at the top of its class. Not only in the context of the Erdinger assortment Erdinger Weissbier with fine yeast applies undisputed as the classical authors, as the white beer absolutely. It is brewed with fine yeast after a delivered prescription and naturally strictly after the Bavarian purity requirement. Today still without the traditional bottle fermentation one does not do here: Three to four weeks it lasts, until the Erdinger Weissbier with fine yeast matured. For the production only finest raw materials are used. Experience of many years and constant quality controls guarantee beyond that the unmistakable taste. A Weissbier for all, those the unforgettable good taste love.

Bottle, 500mL. Home. A pale yellow opaque beer ; many bubbles ; elegant ; big head ; medium retention. Fruity aroma (citrus), vanilla, grain, no spice. Medium sweet, light herbal and acid. Light to medium body, thin silky texture, good carbonation, short sweet finish. Overall, average, poorly refreshing.

Cloudy golden with a tight, fluffy white head. Aroma is equally cloudy with some wheaty toast and a bit of banana and very light clove. Gorgeous, full flavor that’s contradicting with clean yet full wheaty tones. Lovely light wheaty toast with a clean yeastiness and just the lightest fruitiness. What a wonderous and clean yet classical hefe.

Golden light brown colour with creamy head. Aroma and taste of bananas, plums. Drinkable beer and for my point of view on RateBeer little too underestimated in comparison with the best examples of this style.

Bottle from Asda, Manchester. Amber with little head. Includes some lovely smooth tasting pale malts, but there’s a lot of yeast here too alongside the wheat. Slightly sweet with a healthy aroma.

Pours a clear golden beer with a big, fine, white head. No saturation though. Smells spicy, clove, malty, yeasty, some bubblegum, has a small hint of wet cardboard also. Tastes slightly bitter. Leaves a fine, gentle, bitter aftertaste, some sweet hint comes back up also. Okay beer, bit bland.

Good appearance and not much good about this beer. Cereal aroma with some honey. Taste is better: some sourness, refreshing, but no trace of expected weizen notes.

An Average Weizen. Dark Golden color, sort of industrial aroma and an ok taste.

This is a pretty decent hefe that veers to the clove-accented side of things. It’s cloudy orange in color w/ a thin head of mixed bubbles. As mentioned, there is a pretty strong yeasty clove current through this thing. Some sweetness brings out a touch of banana. While it has a pretty thick texture and high carbonation, it is not really the velvety texture I look for in the style. It is a bit bitter in the finish which helps balance that bit of sweetness, which works OK, but overall this is only a fair example of the style.
