Draft my wife ordered at Frisco Taphouse (Columbia, MD) so I snagged a few sips. Cloudy straw-yellow color with white head. Somewhat light aroma of malt sweetness, wheat and some fruit (mainly banana) notes. Taste seemed to subdue the aroma sweetness, adds some spice notes (clove mostly). Light body, average carbonation, mellow, easy drinking with a minimal finish. Easy drinking hefe, maybe too easy as there’s not much to it.

Bottle at a bar in Sursee (Switzerland) on a hot summer day - exactly what I needed then. Rather sweet smell, let’s say honey and banana, still kind of fresh and spicy. Taste is slightly sweet, banana, kind of bubble gumish thing. No bitterness. Medium carbonation. Nice one.

Bottle from Auchan, Luxembourg. Pours hazy gold with awesome, gigantic white head. Nose is more subdued than those of the competitors, I got white bread, spice and yeast aromas with only a hint of fruits. Taste similar, only slightly estery and with noticable hop bitterness. Full and silky mouthfeel. Very refreshing, but not as spectacular as other weizen.

L: -Pours cloudy yellow-golden with a big fluffy eggshell-colooured head -Medium head retension for a Hef -very high carbonation visible S: -very grassy and spicy (Coriander more than clove) -bananas and honey T: Follows the nose plus bubble gum a reduced Banana flavour with a slight bitter grassy finish F: light-medium body with medium-high carbonation O: Erdinger is not your typical Hefeweizen. Its very much noble hop forward instead of Banana-clove forward. Generally though,i find it doesnt quite match good hefeweizens esp. in terms of flavour.

Aroma: Banana, wheat, honey, yeast, not much else. Appearance: Slightly turbid golden-yellow beer with a nice white head. Taste/Palate: Really refreshing, banana, honey. Overall: A really good weißbier, refreshing and easy to drink. The taste is good, but nothing special (even for a weißbier).

Butelka 0.5l do 01.02.2016r. Barwa złota, lekko zmętniona. Piana biała, bardzo drobna, obfita, dosyć szybko opada i oblepia szkło. W aromacie czuć nuty chmielowe, pszeniczne i drożdżowe, ale ogólnie przyjemnie i świeżo. W smaku takie nijakie, a wręcz wodniste.

Bottle from Sainsbury’s. Pours yellow-gold slightly cloudy, 2 finger white head. Aroma of banana, wheat, grain, zesty orange. Taste of wheat, banana, grass, grain, some orange too. Nice!

Aromat i smak słabiutko. Sprawdzone ale powtórki nie będzie.
