The Premium Weissbier at the top of its class. Not only in the context of the Erdinger assortment Erdinger Weissbier with fine yeast applies undisputed as the classical authors, as the white beer absolutely. It is brewed with fine yeast after a delivered prescription and naturally strictly after the Bavarian purity requirement. Today still without the traditional bottle fermentation one does not do here: Three to four weeks it lasts, until the Erdinger Weissbier with fine yeast matured. For the production only finest raw materials are used. Experience of many years and constant quality controls guarantee beyond that the unmistakable taste. A Weissbier for all, those the unforgettable good taste love.

Appearance: Pours a murky golden colour with two fingers of fluffy white head that gradually fades. Aromas: Yeast, wheat, grass. Flavours: Wheat, cloves, biscuit, banana and hints of citrus. Mouthfeel: Thin with lots of carbonation. Overall: An alright wheat beer but not one of my favourites.

Bottle from a local supermarket!
Surprisingly, I did not yet rate this famous german Hefeweizen. Pours beautiful orange-yellow with high, white head. Smell has sweet yeast, grains and some spices. Starts with lots of sweet yeast, some grains, spices and floral hops. Goes into a sweet and spicy yeasty finish with some grainy notes. Overall a solid german Hefeweizen!

Het kan bijlange de vergelijking met belgische bieren niet doorstaan, maar voor een buitenlands bier valt het mee.

It’s easy to see (although taste would be more appropriate) why this is the world’s largest wheat beer brewery. A complexly layered, cloudy hefe, which must be consumed from a glass to enjoy.

0,5L bottle, BB 05.2015. Pours slightly hazy golden with whiteish head. The small head stays for a moment. Aroma is sour, fruits, wheat. Flavor is sweet, wheat, grains, fruits, some citrus. Finish has some mild sweetness. Some alcohol is noticeable. Overall: not offending, but there are a lot better examples available.

Pours a cloudy gold with a great fluffy head. Aroma is a little underwhelming as well as the taste. But overall not a bad hefeweizen.

500ml bottle from The Only Cafe. Frothy creamy head with great lacing on a golden, orange-tinted body. Very sessionable with very slight bitterness and nice carbonation.
