1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Wanja (324) - Bavaria, GERMANY - MAR 14, 2013
On tap at Casa Nostra, Marburg... Uninspiring clear color, head is okay... Weak aroma, watery and boring Weizen flavor... Absolutely not my kind of beer
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Elwood (2493) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - MAR 11, 2013
Serving: 500 ml. bottle from Wegmans Leesburg. It pours a clear light gold color with a pillowy white head. The nose smells slightly of clove and wheat. Slightly sweet on the palate with a slightly oily mouthfeel. Notes of clove, wheat, a slight metallic note. I wouldn’t mind a little more crispness. Still, it’s very drinkable, just not very dynamic.
2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Abrakarl (96) - SWEDEN - MAR 4, 2013
Pretty good but the dark one is actually more interesting. Not so much taste in this one.
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 killroy (15) - BULGARIA - MAR 2, 2013
Bottle at home. Great expectations, big disappointment. Definitely not my beer style.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 olliejobbins (329) - Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 24, 2013
500ml bottle, pours clear golden yellow, refreshing taste and highly carbonated, pleasent sweet and fruity aroma with a similar taste.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 RedSox2004 (981) - Pacific Palisades, California, USA - FEB 22, 2013
Clear golden yellow with a thick bright white head and nice lacing. Grainy malt, banana, citrus and spice on the nose. Flavors are similar, with the malt sweetness undercut slightly by a flowery hop bitterness. Light body, lively carbonation and a clean finish.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 DavidWoodruff (240) - Windsor, California, USA - FEB 20, 2013
Gold and truly crystal clear with a lasting rocky white head. Grass, malt and spice are the telling aromas. Light spiciness (less than expected) and some malt/wheat are the only real noticeable flavors. High degree of carbonation. Crisp, clean and very lager-like.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 SlackerMads (533) - DENMARK - FEB 17, 2013
Bottle. Clear yellow with a fizzy and crackling white head that leaves a bit of lacing. Mild aroma with notes of citrus, banana, peach, pear, light grain, light wheat. Taste is medium sweet with no bitterness. Medium body, watery to oily texture, lively carbonation. Finish is sticky sweet. Low on aroma and unpleasant finish.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 daad (109) - SWEDEN - FEB 12, 2013
This isn’t bad, but nothing I would recommend. Taste and aroma are okay for the style. [short review due to it coming from my backlog]
2.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 6/20 ContemplateBeer (1143) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - FEB 11, 2013
UPDATED: FEB 12, 2013 Aroma of banana, clove, apple/wheat, light gum, light noble hops. Appearance is rich gold with sticky, ever present white head. Flavor comes out with some tangy sweetness (almost reminiscent of sorghum) and really kills all the other yummy character this style should have. Palate is medium, thick and soft. Some flaws going on here, as my bottle said it was good until 07/13.
