Bottle (by Q.-D.): Golden, slowly collapsing white head with a little lace; moderate to solid hoppy and alcoholic nose with a honeyish-sweet-malty background; moderate to solid sweetish-bitter flavour, medium bodied; woody hops increase in the bitter-sweet and slightly alcoholic finish. Quite a good Bock........

Leicht nussig, trocken werdend, aromatisch. Netter Bock ohne große Besonderheiten. Test vom 4.10.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,9,10,10,5,9 - 9,10

(bottle, 33cl, with thanks to Stefan for the bunch of beers from Ergenzingen !) Almost clear, golden colour with a blond short foamy head. Sweet malty and slightly bready aroma with traces of biscuits, honey and alcoholic notes. Solid malty base with notes of biscuits, honey and shy hoppy notes in the background. Sweet and shy bitter biscuity malty finish with delicate hoppy notes in the background. Solid pale Bock. 06.I.10

Bottled 33cl. Courtesy of Quack-Duck. Very pale for a doppelbock- clear pale golden with a small head. Great aroma of papaya, biscuits, tobacco, almonds, baklava, candy and figs. Sweet fruity taste which is mainly of papaya and almonds. Mint and melissa sneaking in. Smooth. Medium to full bodied. Medium carbonation. Malty finish which is reminiscent of dried apricot and papaya. A very pleasant bock. Very drinkable with plenty of character. The nose is sublime. Thanks a lot Quack-Duck!

bottle, purchased at the brewery. Clear golden colour with a mid-sized white head. Malty nose. Full-bodied, delicious malty base with lots of aromatic bitter and resiny hops. Lingering finish. Good one!
