Quack-Duck (5921) - Down South, - NOV 26, 2009
bottle, bought at the brewery (ABV 5.2%). Clear golden colour, large white head. Malty nose. Full-bodied, intensively malty with hints of honey, vanilla and shy hints of cinnamon. Shy floral hops in the lingering finish. A briliant beer, as are all the others from that brewery. This brewery really is a gem!

(bottle, courtesy of Quack-Duck) Slightly unclear, pale golden colour with a big and blond foamy head. Sweet and slightly grainy malty aroma with notes of citrus and herbal hops. Moderately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Slightly buttery pale malt-character with shy notes of biscuits and citric, slightly herbal hops; sweet-bitter, slightly fruity and herbal hoppy finish. A bit simple but still very pleasant brew. Same delivery/purchase by Quack-Duck, but a different bottle and I do not detect any kind of infection. 29.XII.09

Bottle (donated by Q.-D.!): Pale golden, a bit unclear, small lacy hite foam; chalky and grainy nose with traces of infection with a light "woody" hoppy background; light dryish bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; slightly lingering chalky and grainy-hoppy finish. What a pity.....

Bottle from Quack-Duck, thanks! Pale golden color, hazy. Rancid butter in the flowery aroma. Malty, nutty flavor with rancid butter and toffee. Diacetyl all over the place.

Bottle. Very hoppy, moderate malty, the smell of hay. Big white foamy head, long lasting; dark yellow body. Moderate sweet start and an even sweeter finish, average duration. Light to medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Good one.
