Bottle. Pours near black with a tan head. The aroma is on the light side, with roast and chococaramel malt. The flavor has roasted malts, with some semi sweet chocolate and coffee. Subtle notes of smoke and burnt wood linger through the finish. Very nice.

Courtesy of Gillard. Pours deep dark brown with brown edges and thin tan head. The aroma is pretty nice with molasses mixing with burnt malts and a dash of oxidation. The taste is burnt malts that roll into charred ashes. Beneath the burnt malts are mild notes of molasses and a moderate level of lighter roasted malts. The flavor is pretty darn charred.
