Smell: Huh, pretty mild aroma here. Slight notes of dark malt, smoke, berries, and spearmint.
Taste: Sweetish dark maltiness with a hint of dark caramel and chocolate. Touch of smoke. Berry fruitiness. Sweetish finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Kinda basic, at best. Aptly named, I must say! decaturstevo (1133), decatur, Tennessee, USA Jun 8, 2008 A dark amber almost brown pour. A raisen aroma and light malt. A pretty nice flavorful beer thaat is pretty close to style. Full bodied and good carbonation. Overall good beer that I enjoyed. kp (6000), Woodstock, Georgia, USA May 25, 2008 Date: 05/24/2008

CaptainCougar (4601), Rockville, Maryland, USA May 24, 2008 Pours a transparent dark copper amber with a thin, spotty-lacing light tan head. Mild aroma of lightly sweet toasty caramel malts and a touch of German hops. Body starts lightly sweet and caramely malty with some doughy yeast and a thinner, mildly warming finish. Doesn’t quite have the fullness of a true doppelbock, but is pretty smooth and drinkable.
