HighGravity (890), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Jul 20, 2007 Malt accented EPA. That is serviceable in most situations. A good everyday beer. JK (2945), Richfield, Minnesota, USA Jul 19, 2007 Not a bad amber. Cloudy gold color. Lager yeast, light malt, and a little bit salty. OSLO (825), Perth, Australia Jul 16, 2007 [Bottle, thanks badgerben] Poured amber with a small white head. I thought this smelled kind of like the spices that were on some baked apples I had once. Fairly thin, not very flavorful. Slight hops. BDR (2139), Roseville, Minnesota, USA Jul 16, 2007 Thanks to badgerben for sharing. Pale color with a decent hop aroma. Light grain malt flavor and plenty of bitterness. Skyview (4007), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Jul 15, 2007 A 12-oz bottle courtesy of badgerben and shared with Friday beer tasting group. Pours a clear golden pale red brew with a thin and fast dissolving head. Aroma of light Krispy Creme doughnuts (minus the sugar), flowery hops, and a touch of orange peel.Taste is lightly carbonated, light bodied, with flavors of caramel malt and some citrus. Finish is slightly metalic, dry with a flowery hop aftertaste. badgerben (3586), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Jul 13, 2007 Thank you Crizay for the bonus. Light copper color with a medium head. Sweet hop aroma. Very bitter and dry taste with kind of a general graininess. Definitely on the English scale with the hops. Not too bad at all. KDM2 (5), Ohio, USA does not count Jun 29, 2007 Pungent aroma upon first opening the bottle. Stings the nostrils, in a semi-good way. Deep amber color. Thick foamy head lasts a minute or two, then it’s time for taste. I detected heavy malt and caramel. After the initial shock of the strong malt and caramel, I was able to enjoy this beer, slightly. guzzler67 (1272), Hanover, Maryland, USA Jun 27, 2007 Clear amber appearance with a small off white head. Aroma has a soft, fruity edge with some mild spicyness. Medium bodied, moderately carbonated mouthfeel. Bready malt taste with a subdued hop profile. Tinny twinge in the finish.
