The head is frothy and seems too last well. The lacing is okay. Aroma has a decent hoppiness to it mostly oranges. Has a good carbonation and a good mouthfeel. The flavor is of hops with a lite touch of sweetness. I still get orange peel more than oranges. Has a medium body. An oily texture. Has a good finish with a nice bitter aftertaste. Not real strong but you know the bitterness is there. I hate to swim up stream but I think this is a damn good beer. aaronh (201), McMurray, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 27, 2003 I feel this is the best of the three offerred year-round by EBC. It has a nice amber color and pours with a very nice head. The flavor is well balanced and the finish is clean. A nice hops aroma delights the nose. A nice, balanced beer. gws57 (1137), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 21, 2009 Found this one as part of a multi-pack in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Flavor has medium sweetness, very bitter, medium body, sticky, lively, long, bitter finish. Good example of the APA style. thehinge (244), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 21, 2008 Hazey orange pour with a small white head. Does lace nicely to the side of the glass. This ale is beginning to grow on me, too bad it’s not available in DE. Lemony front end with a medium hop note in the aftertaste. I’d buy this again. sebletitje (1903), Tampa, Florida, USA

Aroma herbal and hoppy with a nice caramel malt nose with sweet almost nutty presence.
Taste hoppy, fruity and herbal with light caramel.
I enjoyed the actual aroma of the beer a lot more than the palate.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 1, 2009 Bottle. Poured pale-golden-amber with a thin white head. Aroma is slightly piney hops, sweet caramel, sublte hints of maple, and lightly raisin. Flavor is moderate pine resin, sweet caramel with hints of cereal, slightly orange, and hints of berries. Palate was light with complementary light carbonation which was really refreshing. A good APA. williamherbert (466), Syracuse, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 8, 2009 Bright yellow in the sun; light orange in normal light. A thick but brief head. Minor icy lace. Clear but a bit hazy.
The smell is very mild. There is a slight pale malt. Smell is really hard to detect, though not unpleasant.
The taste is a nice citrusy flavor to go along with the spicy pale malt flavor. The spicy hop is almost witbier-like. The citrus sets it apart; surprising.
The feel is a little fizzy but actually makes the flavors come alive. Nice, minor thickness. A surprisingly citrusy, fruit-tinged pale ale. Easy-drinking and refreshing. gunhaver (1025), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 28, 2009 On tap at Oldsmar Tap House. Pours a copper color, with a big head and very sticky lacing. Nose is corn, hints of wheat and hops. Flavor is corn, grain, some citrusy hops. Smooth, crisp and drinkable, but pretty boring otherwise.
