jredmond (597), New Jersey, USA Mar 4, 2008 Brewery had samples at local bar. This was the second one I tried. The body is hazy orange with some head. The aroma is some hops. The taste is hop, i guess maybe sweeter and more mellow than many IPAs ive tried. Decent beer.
ChainGangGuy (1506), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA Aug 14, 2008 Appearance: Pours a clear, gold-orange body with a tiny, bubbly, white head.
Smell: Altogether grainy aroma with notes of toffee and dehydrated orange peels.
Taste: Grainy, aged malt taste with hints of toffee and honey. Spicy, floral hop character, maybe a touch of citrus. Medium-low bitterness present. Sip of water washes away the remaining malts leaving you with a bitterish finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium-low carbonation.
Drinkability: No thanks! I’m starting to realize what’s got Anthony so riled up. kp (6200), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Aug 13, 2008 Name: Mad Anthony’s Pale Ale

mabel (1583), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 4, 2008 [1278-20080410] 12floz bottle. Multi-grain tortilla aroma with a bit of floral toasted yeast flour. Clear, golden orange body with a quick creamy white head. Floral yeast bread flavour continues with more multi-grain butter and bitter hops. Medium body is gravelly. A little too unrefined, too rough.
(c/o GregClow, w/ blankboy, HogTownHarry, jerc, tupalev) ruinah (5), , Maryland, USA does not count Jul 22, 2008 Has a nose of a C hop, maybe Cascades? Pours rather cloudy and almost looks like a burnt orange color. Head rentention is very low and dooesn’t sem very carbonated. The initial taste has few hops and a malty flavor but not overpowering like some of the others have posted. Some sort of C hops in the arsenal here like Cascades (that would be my bet, or maybe chinook). It has somewhat of an alcohol taste to it which isn’t that appropriate for this style. Overall not a great beer, drinkable of course but there are a lot of better examples of an APA. I’d drink Sierra Nevada over this any day. hophead75 (1648), Boonton, New Jersey, USA Jul 16, 2008 12 oz bottle. Clear orange in color. Aroma is very grainy and malty, can’t pick up too much hop character in this- not too good. Taste is worse, very grainy, some light butter, and almost no hop character at all. Ugh, this one has to be old, at least I really hope it is.
