ATLBeerDog (133), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Jun 20, 2008 Pours light orange with not much carbonation. No head. Light smells of fruit and malt. Very light body. First taste is fruity followed by a slight bitterness. Very light and mild. Less flavor than I expected. Not too tasty. swoopjones (1018), Buffalo, New York, USA Jun 19, 2008 Sample @ Village Beer Merchants Erie Tasting. Decent APA. Had before & it has gotten much better. Copper colored nice balance. Nice hop flavor. Good mouthfeel. Malts balance well. Good APA tjthresh (1239), LaPorte, Indiana and Belton, Missouri, USA Jun 11, 2008 Pours clear copper with a white head. A bunch of lace. The nose shows some signs of American hops, but there is a bunch of biscuit malt character. The hop flavor is more on the earthy side, and there’s a strong malt backbone. Medium body, but a bit watery. High carbonation. Dry, malt driving finish. afireinside96 (308), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 8, 2008 Bottle acquired in a trade with The_Captain. Thanks Mark. Pours orange-gold with a thin head into an English pint glass. Smells of citrus and biscuit. Flavors of nuts and light hops are present. Palate is very thin and watery. Nothing extraordinary but would make a good summer session beer. WISEGUY572 (1074), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA May 29, 2008 A dead center no impact amber, even if they call it an American pale. Rich amber color, small head, no lace. Caramel, nuts, and some British hopping; not as bad as the other Erie. Still a tad thin and dead in the mouth. Drinkable in a pinch, but I’m not there yet. This one is going to be used as steam in a smoker.
