santoslhalper (166), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 4, 2008 Super clear gold with a crappy weak head. Smells overly citric and floral, with some caramel and brown sugar malt notes hiding underneath. The taste is very harsh and astringent. The hops are overwhelmingly bitter and intense, and the aftertaste is straight window cleaner. I stick up for Erie as much as possible, but c’mon guys you gotta do a little better than this. This is giving me a headache..
jerc (3102), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 19, 2008 2008-08-16. Golden orange body with a small beige head. Mild aroma, briefly floral, grassy, light hops. Flavour is lightly astringent, moderate bitterness throughout, light citrus and brief citrus seed astringency. (6+) Average palate. Decent, just okay. Bottle, Coles IPA Festival, Buffalo shadey (1319), Rochester, New York, USA Aug 16, 2008 Bottle. Darker amber pour with a decent head of lace. The hops are citrusy and light. Better than Erie’s other offerings, and easy to drink. badbeer (404), Iowa, USA Aug 12, 2008 Amber colored with a white head that retains well and leaves good lacing. Aroma is floral with peaches and light citrus as well as some biscuit. Taste is of peaches, apricots, oranges, and just a hint of pine sap. Medium carbonation and a touch less than medium body. Really refreshing and drinkable beer, the average score surprises me. I’d enjoy drinking more of this. cbkschubert (1555), Skyline, Arizona, USA Aug 12, 2008 12 oz. bottle from Premier Gourmet - Pours a clear golden color with a medium size off white head. Decent lacing. Aroma is basicly hops. Flavor is light citrus and herbal hops. Light to medium body. A somewhat uninspiring IPA. Still, it’s worth a try. Sparky27 (498), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Aug 12, 2008 12oz Bottle - sweet label. Pours a clear light amber with 2 finger beige head and great lacing. Nose is mainly light citrus. Taste is caramel malt upfront with pink grapefruit and pine rounding it out. Light-to-medium mouth feel. Not bad, but nothing that separates it from the pack. A fairly mellow but highly drinkable IPA.
