12 oz bottle-pours a ruby red color w/a slight white, quickly diminishing head. Light floral hop aroma. Classic scotch ale in appearence & flavor. Roasted malt flavor w/traces of caramel, toffee, & brown sugar. Kind of woodsy. I was about to say it would be a good sesson brew until I saw that 10.1% alcohol! I couldn’t believe it, actually went & checked the bottle. It was so well hidden I had no idea. Smooth enjoyable brew. Gives you a buzz though!

I will make it short and sweet; comes off as a session beer, light and so not Scottish. A light hop bite to it but comes off as cat pee and fart mixed with normal flavors like syrupy strawberry. I really can’t believe this is so strong, comes off as a session beer with some off flavors.
12oz bottle, St. Paul tulip/snifter glass.

Aroma: Malty aroma with maple syrup overtones.
Appearance: Poured a light copper color with a small head which dissipated quickly and left no lacing n the glass.
Flavor: Malty and sweet with a strong alcohol presence in the finish.
Palate: Lightly carbonated with a lingering alcohol burn.
Overall: This beer had a nice up front flavor, however it wasn’t carbonated enough for me and it had too much alcohol taste. I don’t think I would buy this beer again.

KSBF07 Poured a dark copper color with small head. Aroma was caramel brown sugar and wood. Flavor was much the same with some floral hops and some fruit in there. Little to sweet.

KSBF07. Deep amber to copper color, thin off-white head. Aroma was woodsy / outdoorsey, caramel, and brown sugar or molasses. The flavor was fruity woodsy-ish, caramel malts, molasses, and bittering/floral-like hops in the finish. The body was moderate for the style, a decent but not great beer. Re-rate, 12/07, bottle (Cease & Desist Label): Full malt body, woodsy-caramel most notable, alcohol not strong in the profile, but noticeable. An ok brew, original rating stands.

Thanks to Crizay for this trade! Dark copper color with no head. Slight strawberry aroma. Dry caramel and grain taste, like walking through a barley field in late September and munching on what you find. Simple, but not bad.

Bottle shared by Badgerben, pours a clear reddish amber brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissolves to a fine film and ring. Aroma of caramel malt, a touch of molasses and flowery hops. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with flavors of caramel malt, some molasses and a metalic alcohol texture. Finish is heavy alcohol, semi sweet with some slight caramel malt and tart dewberry aftertaste.
