COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wee Heavy Ale: Powerful caramel malt flavor, finishing climatically with a smooth warming sensation. Deep Red. 19.9°

Erie Brewing Company presents the beer previously know as “Red Ryder BIG Beer.” Red Ryder was dubiously awarded two “cease and desist” orders for its name. So with its unique new name (inspired by the long arm of the law), Ol’ Red Cease and Desist brings more to the table than just a big, malty flavor and climaxing warm sensation, it brings a legal record!

On tap. Pours a deep amber with a thin, quickly vanishing head. aroma is malted caramel and fruit. Taste is somewhat vegetable-esque with dry sour fruit. Mouth feel is carbonated and then slightly dry.

Tap at oblivion. Aromas of light cherries, smoke and roast, some booze, and caramel. Taste is similar with a noticeable roasted character coming through. An interesting offering.

Suggested to me @ my waitress’ request. The aroma was of lightly charred cherries, honey and hops. The taste was pretty boozy and sweet with what seemed to be a hint of dry oak. Undertones of hops, spices and alcohol make for a well-rounded beer. Cheers!

Pours a dark copper brown color on tap with slight tan head that dissipates quickly and little to no lacing. Aroma of roasted and smoked malts, a touch of sweetness, and a bit of metallic notes. Taste follows suit, but the smokiness really jumps out in the beginning. Nice beer, and the alcohol is well hidden for 10%

Pours a clear red with minimal head. Smells a little smoky, coffee, nuts. Taste is bitter with a moderate sweetness, relatively smooth, a little metallic though.
