COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed in the tradition of lagers first made in Pilsn, Bohemia, in 1842 our highly drinkable version isn't just gold and dear like the original. Czech Saaz and Classic American Cluster hops produce a delicate aroma and dry finish, along with a malty balance essential to the style. Follow the light and enjoy Presque Isle year round. You've found "the premium lager".

I think this is a pretty tasty beer. This would be a good everyday drinking beer. I’m not sure why people are hating on this beer. Maybe they’re just prejudiced against erie. For shame.

4/19/12. 12oz bottle. Clear golden pour with a small off-white head. Grainy caramel apple aroma with touches of corn. Sweet, caramel and apple flavors with hay and bits of old malt liquor mixed in there. Eh.

12oz bottle pours clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma of musky malts almost cocoa, weird. Taste of corn and grain, tastes like chicken feed and over cooked asparagus. Pretty awful.

12 oz bottle. I do not agree with most of the ratings on this beer at this site. You guys have it wrong. translucent golden. Smell: light hop, but nice, zesty malt accents. Smells like peach. Taste: smooth, malty middle, nice dry finish. Mouthfeel: Incredibly balanced beer, with an excellent aftertaste of crystal malt freshness. Drinkability: Quite high

12oz. bottle: Last of 4 in a variety case. This one pours a clear, golden yellow color. There was a bit of a white head on it. It lingers awhile and leaves some lacing. Milder aroma. Faint grains, grassiness and maybe a hint of lemon. The taste is a bit thin also. Just a faint touch of bitterness, with a lighter body to it. Decent enough, but fairly unexciting. It would make a good lawnmower beer.

Pours a pale yellow with bright carbonation. Taste is smooth with a dry crisp finish. Pale malt offset by slight hops. Smooth.

Light golden color. Med head. Aroma of grass or hay malts. Lite bodied, lite carbonation. Like other erie brews, this tastes like earthy grass. It may be old beer but not sure. Not impressed.
