Bottle. Pours amber with an off white head. Aroma is all malt, caramel, honey, biscuit and toast. Medium body. Flavor is sweet, with toffee and biscuits. Very minimal hop profile. Not bad.

On tap in Mahwah B&G, nice, smooth full bodied ale. Scottish ale? Alt? Not quite sure. Lots of malt- virtually no hops. It’s a devil in disguise with 6.8 % abv. Deceivingly smooth.

For some reason this beer reminds me of college, even though I just had it for the first time. Pretty decent but nothing to write home about. Nice dark color, interesting flavor. Not exactly what I expected but good nonetheless.

Bottle. Pours ruby reddish with sweet malty & fruity aroma. Flavor is sweeter malts with light hops & fruitiness. Not abad beer by any means just needed a little more bitterness to tone down the sweetness

From a bottle. Pours dark copper with a decent sized eggshell white head. Some lace. The nose has toffee, biscuit, perfume, and some alcohol. Lots of toffee, and backed goods. Medium body with lots of carbonation. Dry, but big and malty finish.

From a bottle. Pours deep amber with reddish highlights. Big off-white head, good lacing. Bitter earthy hops with sweet caramel malts. Mouthfeel is good. Alcohol is a bit too obvious. A very different tasting Ale. Not one of my favorite styles. Not bad, just different.

Poured a copper-amber body with a very small white head. Mild, roasted, toasty nose. Sweet, dry, crisp flavor. Slight hoppiness and caramel creaminess. Kind of boring brew, but not bad.

I wasn’t aware this was an old ale, tasted like a malty pale with sharp bittering hops but not much floral character. Hops gave an earthy pine flavor. Caramel to the malts, softly toasted, mild nutty flavor, but no where near the depth that I would expect from an old ale. Hops had a sharp bitter flavor, but not much of a floral quality to them.
