Mar 29, 2008 Oct. 2007 - Crystal clear light amber orange color, almost no head or lacing. Aroma of citrus rinds. Strange beer which defies style. Sweet caramel with English style hops, but also lots of brown sugar and ripe citrus rind hops as well. Light and crisp, but yet still sweet. Not bad.

Mar 19, 2008 Terrible. Just terrible. 12 oz. brown bottle. Burnt coffee aromas, nasty yeasty flavors. Not an old ale by any stretch of the imagination.

Mar 18, 2008 12oz bottle, no date. Clear burnt orange with a small light beige head, fading to a ring rather quickly. Aroma of some toffee, fruitcake, raisins, and a bit of earthy hops. Flavor had a little more caramelly toffee notes and less fruitiness. A little bit of leafy and earthy hops are present. Dry finish with bitterness around a 2. Low carbonation with a medium body.

Mar 8, 2008 Not too bad for an everyday drinking beer. Too mild for my taste. Everything from eirie tends to be a bit lacking in flavor. decent malt finish though.

Mar 4, 2008 Brewery had samples at local bar. This was the third beer out of three that I tried. I did not like this one as much as the others. Couldn’t taste the alcohol at all, however there was something different about the taste that I just wasn’t diggin. You could both smell and taste the caramel in this. It poured a dark orange body.

Feb 29, 2008 Very smooth beer that should be drank from a glass. Very much enjoyed this beer. Not an overly complex beer, but a very solid beer.

Feb 29, 2008 Railbender Ale. Offers the hope, for a great beer. However, that hope is denied. It’s aroma is absent. It’s appearance is ordinary coppery colored. It’s flavor is disappointingly not there. The aftertaste and palate are acceptable. I really thought I was drinking a strong lager. Not impressed.
