THOUGHTS: This was the second beer I’ve had that smelled sort of like Cap’n Crunch. Not very complex for the style. Not bad overall, but the balance wasn’t quite there and it became cloying over time. Not bad at first, but it go worse as it went. Still not a really bad beer, but not the greatest example of the style. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a medium amber with a small, off-white head that quickly and mostly diminished. The aroma was moderate to heavy grain, cereal and caramel malt, along with toffee, butterscotch, a little mellon. It was fruity but also a little musty. The initial flavor was very sweet and lightly acidic; while the finish was sweet and slightly bitter. There was caramel, apple, grain, watery whiskey, toffee and a little Cap’n Crunch. The medium body was watery, then a little dry with fizzy carbonation and a light astringent finish.

On tap at Fox & Hound Aroma - Good but too faint Appearance- slightly cloudy yellow-orane with minimal head and nice lacing Taste- unusual but good malty, yeasty and ever so slightly sweet with an unusual but interesting hoppy finish Palate- somewhat but nox excessively thin. good carbonation level. Good beer; interesting and unique. I’d be loathe to try and compare it to anything else I’ve had. It led to another one and the purchase of a case to take home to NC where it’s not available.

12oz. Bottle: Aroma of caramel and malts. Poured orange/amber in color with a tiny off-white head that lasted around the edges. Clear. Not sparkling. Flavor is slightly sweet. Tastes of grains, slight caramel, malts, and nuts. Light to medium body. Thin, lightly sticky texture. Average carbonation. Lightly sweet, malty, caramel aroma is a bit chalky.

Muchas Gracias to Cheapdark for sending this bottle my way! This one pours a sort of rare color somewhere between a red and a gold color with a tight medium white head. Aroma is immediately very biscuity grainy and a little boozy. Wow, the flavor on this one is very straightforward, not a lot of complexities just a remarkable fresh biscuit malt character, it’s malty remarkably so, but not sweet tthe beer has a great dryness that balances it out very well. There is a little twang of alcohol but nothing disturbing. This is a very different beer, I must give it props for that. Enjoyable!

Bottle Pours a hazy amber with a small off white head. The head last okay. Has a sweet malty aroma of caramel, fudge, and fruits. Has a good carbination and a decent mouthfeel. Nice flavors and blended very well. Alcohol is very mild. Has a medium light body. A pretty good finish. A pretty good beer. This one surprised me after seeing the low rating.

12 oz bottle. Pours light amber with a soft beige head. Smells of carmelly malt and slight piney hops. Tastes of malt, sugar, and grass. Dry finish, mostly grassy. Nicely carbonated. Pretty decent beer.
