Pours a nice gold amberish color. I had on tap and in a bottle. Tasted much better on tap. Very weak in the bottle.

Nice rich medium amber color. Roasted nut aromas. Malty, chocolate, caramel flavors run very strong in this beer. Overall good beer.

Bottle thanks to Cletus. Pours a deep mahogany color with a medium white head. The aroma is full of caramel malts, some fruity and yeast notes also. The flavor is dry, lots of yeast, fruity and toasted flavors, sort of musty. Not bad at all. A sort of odd dusty/musty finish. Otherwise nice.

Chestnut color, moderate foamy head. Butterscotch, biscuity malts, mildly grainy nose. Sweetish at first but overall pretty balanced with cookiesh malts, a touch of herbal or grassy hop, a hint of anise?, balanced finish. Malts have a touch of twang in the aftertaste. Palate a little thin, but part of it is the low carbonation giving this a fairly light English ale palate. On the whole its really very boring.

The aroma is malty with caramel, cereal, and hay. The hops are there I think but very subdued. The appearance is amber with a small head. The flavor is like then aroma with a cereal finish. The palate is thin but OK. Overall I like it.

Clear amber. Smells malty and biscuity with not too much roasted taste or smell. Somewhat bitter and malty. Smooth.

Bottle. Stale old caramel malt and stinky feet with earthy toffee and some flat tire air. Weak amber pour with a noisy beige head. Taste has grape notes and a strong grainy aftertaste, reasonably dry with a little peat and earthy near-smoke. Occasional flashes of raisin sweetness. Body starts light but sticky and actually seems rather full after some volume. Not as bad as I think, I keep telling myself.
