May 17, 2007 Not much in the aroma, it acutally smelled a bit like malt liquor. Kind of a funky smelling sweet malt with alcohol. Taste was similar, heavy malt with some caramel. I think this one was actually pretty bad cause it tasted like malt liquor and a bad lager. Forget old style ale, this is just a poor ale.

Aug 27, 2008 Aug. 27, 2008; 12 oz. bottle. Had this pegged for a Marzen on first viewing/tasting. Burnt sugar-sweet malts, caramel, slightly oily, palate notable for its bitterness (more a product of alcohol than of hops). A The distinctly-medicinal/Southern Comfort-y flavor could be off-putting to some. Shades of Autumn . . . might be nice on a crispier evening, but I wouldn’t seek this out.

Apr 18, 2005 A very nice amber color with a full head. Strong fruity aroma as well as a scent of raisins. Smooth hops taste with good mouth feel. Some more fruitiness in the taste and a little pepper. This is a good beer definately worth trying. The taste also offers a lot of caramel sweet maltiness balanced nicely against a hoppiness in the aftertaste.

Jun 9, 2009 Draft@DiMarco’s, Uniontown, PA->honker. Pours a tan head, atop an amber body. There is an indiscernible sweet aroma that emanates immediately after pouring. Pretty good carbonation, however has a grainy flavor. Not terribly great.

Jun 1, 2004 This beer poured amber with a decent head. Aroma and taste overwhelmed by malt, with little hops. Not impressive. Also, yeast is very prevalent in aroma and taste.

Nov 27, 2007 12oz. Bottle: Light caramel appearance, minimal beige head. Sweet malty aroma. First sip leaves me with a bitter taste in my mouth, acidic almost. Rather thin, pretty average. Not much to say here.
