This is a decent beer. By far the best in the variety pack. It tastes like it is loaded with alcohol but is only 6.8. Lacking it overall flavor Could be a little less bitter.

Bottle at Rick’s Sports Bar (Murrysville). Pours a clear amber, nice off-white head that doesn’t stick around very long. Aroma is sweet, caramel, malt, just like the description. Flavor is more of the same, nice toffee/caramel, malt, sweet, but not in a bad way, maybe a touch of faint raisin hiding in the background.

Pour was a dark brown with no head and not much going on. Aroma was weak..could pick up malt and alcohol. Taste was a mix of malt and caramel. Low carbonation and an aftertaste of toffee. Thick mouthfeel that dissapates quickly. Below average.

Flavor is bready with a very sweet finish, almost like breakfast cereal. Not bad, just not much to get excited about

Single 12-oz bottle shared by Badgerben, pours a orange-coppery amber brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissolves to a fine film and ring. Aroma of dark caramel malt, some flowery hops with a touch of pineapple and orange scents. Taste is medium bodied, lightly carbonated with flavors of caramel malt and fruity hops. Finish is slightly acidic, flat with a slight caramel aftertaste. Missing some of the bitterness of an old ale.

From a bottle. Pours deep amber with reddish highlights. Big off-white head, good lacing. Bitter earthy hops with sweet caramel malts. Mouthfeel is good. Alcohol is a bit too obvious. A very different tasting Ale. Not one of my favorite styles. Not bad, just different.

Poured a deep, rich amber with a minimal and shorly-lived white head. The scent was incredibly faint, I picked up hints of caramel and malt and little else. The taste was similar to the scent, but a little more pronounced. A lot of caramel and malt and alcohol with a nice hoppy finish. decent mouth-feel, nothing to write home about; a little dry towards the end but nice up front. Certainly a drinkable ale.
