bhensonb (4182), Woodland, California, USA Aug 15, 2008 Bottle from John’s Market in Portland, OR. Hazy pale gold color with a slight white head. Aromas of wheat and citrus/coriander. Near medium body with mild carbonation. Flavor is a burst of citrus/spice followed by a rather flat wheatiness. Citrus reappears in the finish. Ok, but not a showstopper. Beerman6686 (1263), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 5, 2008 Pours a cloudy yellow color with a white head. Aroma is pretty bland, mainly wheaty with a bit of spices. Flavor has a bit more to it, cloves and coriander dominating. TomDecapolis (3128), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 30, 2008 On tap at Capones. Pours a hazy golden with a large foamy white head that laced. Aroma of orange; lemon, some wheat and cheerios. Flavor a match of the aroma. Crisp and refreshing. Tart wheat notes in flavor. hophead75 (1945), Boonton, New Jersey, USA Jul 20, 2008 Lightly hazy blonde in color with a small white head that dissipates into a ring around the glass. Aroma and taste were both really muted and bland, watery taste with a touch of wheat, malt and spice. Very little going on here. wcampbell (572), Central, South Carolina, USA Jul 11, 2008 I thought this was pretty decent and a good bar beer. Not nearly as spicy as wits should be, but otherwise satisfactory. Tasted more like a wheat ale. Kind of bland. Highly drinkable and refreshing. A little thin and weak to be really good though.
