Dark mahogany colour with creamy head. Belgo-Style X-mas scent with plum and bit of toast. Rounded mouthfeel with long flavour with nice fruitiness. Good malty here.

Nov 21, 2007 Updated: Dec 8, 2007Bottle (50 cl) from Systembolaget. Deep clear copper with a medium beige head. Fruity malt aroma with dark chocolate, fudge, some wood, and some citric hops. Light to medium in body with soft carbonation. Nicely balanced with a relatively long bitter finish. A bit bock-like.
Storm (2677), Amager, Denmark
Mar 20, 2008 Bottle. Dark clear amber colour with a nice head. Aroma of parfume, malt and sweetness. Flavour of parfume, sweet malty and caramel. Ends up sweet little spicy and smooth.
Maria (3975), Thisted, Denmark
Feb 2, 2008 Orange-golden with a nice, creamy head. The aroma is fruity in a slightly perfumed way, but I also get notes of roasted malt and caramel. The flavour is quite smooth with pleasant notes of roasted malt and caramel, and I also find the slightly perfumed and spicy flavour of fruits here. The finish is slightly dry and bitter.
Ungstrup (11136), Frederiksberg, Denmark
Feb 19, 2008 Bottled. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, but also light notes of star anise. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and star anise, leading to a dry bitter and spicy finish.
