Gr0ve (2177) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 26, 2007
500 ml bottle. Dark brown with a reddish hue. Tall off-white fluffy coarse head. Grainy malt aroma with a hint of roasted malts. Grassy hops. High bitterness upfront. Light bodied, but there is quite a bit of hops and a chocolatey maltiness. Distinct lager character. The hops are one-dimensional and does not really fit with the malts. After a while it all mellows out. Overall this is a really nice Christmas beer from a macro brewery.

OleR (4804) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 25, 2007
500 ml bottle. Dense and creamy two finger tan head. Beautiful dark mahogny colored body. Dry nutty malt aroma. Also some earthy and hayish hops. Scents of ash and fruit. Medium sweet papery malt taste with notes of unrefined bittering hops. Medium body. Light bitter ending. A straightforward and reliable Christmas seasonal.

50 cl bottle, from Systembolaget)
Clear dark red almost deep ruby color, creamy head, a bit too small though. Fruity, malty and toffee scent. Metallic, buttery, grainy and malty taste. Medium to spritzy mouthfeel, low bitterenss. Actually really nice considering it’s from a Swedish macro brewery. Something I can imagine buying again.

50 cl bottle at Haket, Göteborg. On November 30, 2013.
BB 09 June 2014.
Clear dark brown color, small tan head. Sweet, grainy scent. Sweet, malty taste, sugary aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, rather low bitterness.
Didn’t really live up to my 2007 rating at all.
