Toasted malts, caramel and nuts in the clean flavour with a mild bitterness and roastiness in the finish. Quite decent, considering it’s brewed by Carlsberg Sverige.

(Bottle) Pours very dark brown. The aroma is sweet fruity and caramelly with some mild burned notes. Black cherries, plums, raisins and some subtle spices are all present. Also some dark syrup. The flavour is fruity and mild roasted with tones of dark fruits and just a touch of coffee. Medium bodied. Wow, this is a really nice macro.

Gr0ve (2038) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 26, 2007
500 ml bottle. Dark brown with a reddish hue. Tall off-white fluffy coarse head. Grainy malt aroma with a hint of roasted malts. Grassy hops. High bitterness upfront. Light bodied, but there is quite a bit of hops and a chocolatey maltiness. Distinct lager character. The hops are one-dimensional and does not really fit with the malts. After a while it all mellows out. Overall this is a really nice Christmas beer from a macro brewery.

Frovigalning (2024) - Örebro, SWEDEN - NOV 9, 2012
UPDATED: NOV 11, 2012 Bottle as a sample from the brewery. Weak smell with a hint of dark bread. Also weak taste with a hint of dark bread. Light body and fairly dry. The few flavours that are here pull in different directions. Boring and not to nice to drink.
