It’s golden with a white head and The aroma has notes of malt, light celluloses and the flavor has a light/moderate sweetness with notes of malt, straw, grass, hay and the finish is dry.

Frischer und leicht herber Antrunk, etwas süßlich werdend. Im Mittelteil hopfiger, etwas würzig, erfrischend. Von allem ist in diesem Bier etwas, wenn auch in milder Mischung, dennoch wirkt es vollmundig. Im Abgang süßlich-herb, weiter erfrischend, getreidig. Angenehm erfrischendes Sommerbier - mit respektablen 6,1%! Test vom 23.4.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,10,11,12,12,11 - 10,75

Bottled (thanks Timo A!). Golden colour, small head. Aroma is caramel malts, mild grassyness. Flavour is caramel, caramel, some alcohol, and some quite grassy and bitter notes.

0.5 l bottle. Malty honeyish aroma with moderate tropical fruit notes. Sweetish fairly honeyish and malty flavor with some herbal hoppiness in late finish. Medium to full body. Fairly malty and tasty märzen.

Bottled. A hazy dark golden beer with a beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet mlaty with notes of caramel and a touch of metal.

On tap at Straubing Volksfest This beer was probably the 3rd or 4th best of the Volksfest biers. A typical fest bier, more of a helles than a maerzen.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of MoritzF. Pours a clear golden with a dense, white head. Very solid and malty aroma. Quite full-bodied with a nice malt base and again some flower accents from the hops. The finish is dry where the hops nicely balances the malt sweetness. This is actually rather close to a Heller Bock. 080408

Cloudy golden with tiny white head. Sweet fruity aroma with caramel and malty notes. Sweet malty flavor with grainy and caramel notes.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a white head. Light spiced and mild cornish sweet aroma. Flavour is slight mouldy with a light medium sweet cornish note. Subdued bitterness. Ends medium dry and cornish. Light spiced.

Bügelverschlußflasche: Straw golden, a bit unclear, lacy mid-sized white head, distinctive sweet-malty and grassy nose with a spicy hoppy background; solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied; sweet malty to bisquity finish with a light oaky hoppiness in the very end. Good, good.........
