2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 imdownthepub (8474) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - SEP 26, 2010
Bottle conditioned, 300ml from Burg Bieren, Ermelo, Netherlands. Orange amber with no head. This was undisputedly flat unfortunately straight from the pour. There were some hops on a slightly spicy yeasty malt, but something had definitely gone wrong at the bottling stage.

bottle, donated by Bierkoning - Thanks a lot! Hazy brownish golden colour, mid-sized head. Robust malty base with a grainy caharcter, reminding me of German Vollkornbread (wholemeal bread) with shy hints of forest berries and a nice hoppy finish that adds a touch of fruity hops.

Clear golden color, short white head. Aroma is hoppy and grainy. Dry hoppy taste, bitter. Dry palate. Quite like a pilsener, but a bit complexer in taste, and with refermentation in the bottle.
