Draft at Ølgod Bryghus as Special Pilsner. A muddy dark red-brown beer with a lazing orangey head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel as well as lighter notes of hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and hops, leading to a lightly bitter finish.

On tap. Comes as "Ølgod Special Pilsner". Hazy, dark orangey brown with a nice, beige head leaving some lacework. Aroma of dried fruit and a little butter. Medium body, sweetish roasted malt, dried fruit and some licorice. Dry, bitter finish. 030409

Unclear medium amber brown color with a average, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, roasted, caramel, nutty notes, moderate hoppy, pine, orange, licorice - anis. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20081109]
