At the Ølfestival, Esbjerg, Denmark 23-10-09. Pours a muddy mid/dark brown in colour with a rather sorry and pitiful looking foamy head. Aroma is strange I can’t pinpoint what it is. There is some spicy toffee, fruit and a little sourness to this with a little coffee also. A6 A3 F6 P3 Ov12 3.0

Draft. An unclear brown beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel as well as lighter notes of spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and sugar, as well as lighter notes of spices.

Clear medium amber brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, spicy, dark berry notes, light licorice - anis. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20091022]

On tap at Esbjerg Beerfestival. It’s a hazy, brown beer with a small, off-white head. Fruity, slightly roasted nose with hints of alcohol. Sweet, roasted flavor with some dried fruits and a fine bitterness to balance it. Medium to full body and a bitter finish with roasted malts, caramel and a little alcohol burn. 091022

Sampled at DØE Beerfestival 2009, Esbjerg. Pours a hazy brown beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is malt and coriander. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is bitter with sweetness. Overall an average beer.

Hazy brown of color with a beige head. An aroma of malt, spice, liqurice and apples. A flavor of apples, spice and liqurice.

Draught at EsBF09. Medicinal aroma, some christmas spice, like cough medicin. Has an underlying citric note which balances off the spice a bit, but also continues further, making the beer unpolished.

It’s dark, red-brown with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, berries and light spice. The flavor has a light sweetness and notes of roasted malt, caramel, raisin, berries and dry citrus. It’s uncomplicated to drink, and the dry, refreshing finish is a nice touch in the overall impression.
