From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy brown with a light tan head. Liqourice hoppy and slight aroma. Annis seed spiced flavour. Light toasted malt. Spiced and slight bitterness, although annis seed is most dominant here, too dominant for my liking.

Draft. A hazy amber-brown beer with a thick off-white head. The aroma has notes of caramel as well as lighter notes of nuts and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel, as well as lighter notes of straw and bread, leading to a dry nutty finish.

Copper colour. Lightly toasty on the nose. One the palate, more of the same, with a caramel accent. Hints of alcohol in this one. Interesting, characterful amber lager.

Test vom 13.8.2008, Gebinde: Fass Noten: 13,10,12,9,-,10 - 10,47
