COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

In a city that is noticeably bereft of decent bier, Eschenbrau is a welcome oasis from the drab, predictable offerings of Berliner Kindl and the likes. This Pils is only example of a good unfiltered pils I have tasted outside of Prague and Munich. Just a damned good, crisp, refreshing glassful that has been consistently high over the last seven consecutive years I have visited Berlin. Roll on July 28th.

Draught @ Brewpub Pours hazy yellow with a smooth head. Aroma is hoppy grassy, malty and citrusy. Taste is sweetish, malty and grassy with lots of hops and hints of buttery notes. Finish is bitter, grainy and malty with hints of grass and citrus. Nice, clean and hoppy pils.

Draught @ the brewpub, Berlin. Pours a beautiful golden colour with a large foamy white head. Aroma of grainy malts, lemongrass and strong hay. Flavour is very smooth with grainy malts, faint caramel, strong grassy bitterness and mild retronasal graininess. Medium bodied, very smooth mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Lovely lingering grainy and bitter finish. Drinkability is so good that it’s hard to describe, so I had to take another pint. Overall a very tasty, clean and rich pils. Probably the best pils I’ve had so far. Great stuff.

It's a German pils. And it's made well. Cereal on the nose, cloudy yellow, little bit of floral aroma. Taste is crisp and dry bitter aftertaste. It's great and thirst quenching.

The head is robust, the body light and cloudy. It smells hoppy-bitter, tannins. The taste is a bit bitter, less CO². Easy drinkable, good Pils. 11/10/11/10/-/10

(tap) Shiny golden colour, almost clear, beautiful and stable white head. The aroma is grassy and hay-like, accompanied by white bread and a buttery note, which is not unpleasant. I like it. Taste has a light to medium bitterness, nothing else. The long lasting impression of the hops on the palate is quite enjoyable as well, the aroma is enhanced by the fact that carbonation is only soft to average. Overall a quaffable, aromatic Pilsener that I would gladly drink again.

Draught. Pale yellow body with a lacing white head. Light noble nose, come citrus. Taste is a pretty bready, slightly grainy tone, soft and citric. Light-medium body, enduring nobility, mostly dry with some chalk and the beauty of lemon and malt. Bitterness is low despite the nice hop presence, and it’s quite moreish. Medium-light body.
