3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 hawthorne00 (1440) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAR 27, 2012
Bottle. Gold with a white head. Low bead. Aroma of light bread, earthy and floral hops. Sweet and grainy with modest bitterness. Crisp finish leaving lingering spices. Quite light-bodied - there’s not much to the malt promised in the aroma. Par.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 ALLOVATE (1719) - Butler, WA, AUSTRALIA - FEB 4, 2012
Downed 10 litres or so of this over Christmas without blinking an eye-lid, but now pen to paper. Big, silky foam atop, snow-white and two inches in height, holds well with good filmy lace. Very grainy barnyard nose, lots of cereal grains, rye and bran-like, very dry with light edges of camphor. Light sweetness upfront in the mouth, quenching with a base of well defined Summery, toasted grains. Zingy, lemony sourness along the sides, light earthy hop with little bitterness in the swallow. Ends crisp, short and very clean. More malt driven than anything so fitting of its style. The body is very light, the carbonation spot-on also for a lager of its guise. It slips down with alarming speed. I like it, as I obviously did over the xmas period. Simple pleasures I guess!! (50cL, BB 25/05/12, Thirsty Camel, Butler)

Bottled. A golden beer with a thin lazing white head. The aroma has notes of malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, minerals, cardboard, and dust, leading to a lightly bitter finish.
2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 TaxiDriver (1372) - Stadland, GERMANY - SEP 24, 2008
Bottle. Moderate malty and hoppy. Medium sized white creamy head, normal long lasting; dark yellow body. Light bitter taste, rather short duration. Light watery, light body, sot carbonation. Unfortunately too watery and light for a Export.
