tap from the brewpub - Nose is crackery with some piney hops. Light caramel on the tongue & bitter drynness at the end. Your basic ESB, sessionable and tasty.

Tap @ Eskes. Pours a hazy orange appearance with a khaki head. Somewhat spicy, light caravel, a touch citrusy aroma. Light toffee, burnt charred malty, earthy, a bit fruity flavor. Pass.

Special? Not REally? Bitter? Not too much, but it IS somewhat sweet. Slightly less sweet and slightly more bitter and a session pint it might be.

Draught, listed as Victory Bitter but I could not tell for sure that it was a different beer, and the website only lists this one and the organic bitter. Pours clear light amber with an average, creamy, white head, mostly lasting with good lacing. Aroma is average malt (cookie, bread), average hops (flowers, citrus), light yeast (sweat) with notes of pear and apple. Light bodied, oily texture, soft carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.

Very smooth up front; quickly turns into a spikey carbonation near the finish. Big and chocolatey malt flavors and aromas were very enjoyable. Roasted malt notes with a hint of sweet licorice. Has a slight tannin sharpness in the finish. Hints of alcohol build and become comfortably warming.
