3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 drkilmer (35) - Myersville, USA - APR 10, 2007
Had this on tap 4/6/07. Pale yellowish orangs with no head. The chili aroma was very nice. After the swallow, there was a very nice warmth. I loved it!
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Strykzone (3133) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - JAN 11, 2012
A friend brought this bomber at the brewpub. We shared it. Dingly and cloudy golden with sediment in the bottom of the bottle. The nose is green peppers and that is also the taste. Decent malt, too, but subtleties are difficult to pick out through the peppers. They are warm but not over powering. A decent version.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Cavie (3248) - Fort Worth, Texas, USA - DEC 22, 2011
Tap at the pub. This beer pours a clear light yellow to straw color. Has a very small amount of white head. Very little. Aroma is sweet, grainy, with maybe a bit of spice. Hard to pick out on the aroma. Flavor is dry grains, a touch of popcorn with the chili spice and heat on the finish. I’m pretty sure there might be a touch of diacetyl in this but the spice covers up a lot.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 hellbilly (3053) - scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA - OCT 12, 2011
bottle brought to dak’s on 1/31/11.
pale hazy yellow with a short lived white head.
it smells like the inside of a fresh chocolate pepper... mixed with hatch chiles, rice and a touch of citrus.
the palate is a bit too sweet for me... kinda like a sprite with chile added... but it rocks a great chile aftertaste. it is crisp and mild (heat) enough to make me want to drink more of it though it does seem to have an artificial sugar thing going on.6/3/6/3/14
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Beershine (4754) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - OCT 4, 2011
Draft @ brewpub. Hazy yellow. Bright and assertively green chili aroma is unmistakable. I like how they didn’t hold back on it. The body is light and quaffable. Considered giving the palate score a 4 because of how welcome the heat is on the back of my throat. The flavor is really mellow, and balanced. Seems like just the right kind and amt of green chili and the right type of pale malts. Finishes clean, even crisp. Good enough to have a pint of, and actually a good job for what can be a difficult style. But if anyone is going to succeed with a green chili beer it better be a New Mexican!
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Oakes (10196) - Gibsons, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 21, 2011
Hazy blonde. No head. Abundant green chile aroma. A little watery but a very pleasant, mild chile character to balance.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear yellow with a white head. Aroma of green chile (smells like a spicy tortilla soup). Flavor of spice initially, tortilla, and heat in the finish with just a hint of vegetables. Certainly spicy but not overwhelming. Hard to drink a lot of, but definitely drinkable, and the best green chile beer I’ve had thus far (out of 3). They know what they’re doing!!

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 dionysus (1443) - Arizona, USA - FEB 5, 2011
Bottle pours cloudy gold with a fizzy white head. Aroma shows notes of chili pepper and citrus. Flavor shows the same with additional notes of bread. Overall body is light and the chili is somewhat spicy. Doesn’t quite mesh but definately interesting.

Cloudy yellow pour with no head. Aroma of light malt and green chile. Flavor is fresh green chiles. Weird, but surprisingly good.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 dcschiller (1682) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - JAN 31, 2011
(22oz bottle). Pours hazy yellow. Aroma of chilis. Taste is spicy, but sweet. Thin bodied with smooth, but spicy finish. Not bad, but in small quantities.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 daknole (5865) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - JAN 31, 2011
Cloudy yellowish pour. White head that disappeared really fast. Aroma of roated hatch chilis and some apple notes. Flavor is green chili, apples, and malt. Interesting and for a chili beer not all that bad!
