Tap at the pub. Pours a clear copper to amber color with a foamy white head. Aroma is light spicy hops and rye chips. Flavor is dry, bready and rye on the finish. Flavor has a pretty decent backbone with just the touch of sweetness.

Hazy amber. Somewhat floral hop aroma. A bit thin, with appley, fruity notes. Ok, sort of a sweet bland pale with honeyish floral notes.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 Foxbush (761) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - MAY 10, 2010
This is our seond beer tasted in Taos. The ale had light nose and medium body. The amber color was clear and inviting. The ale had a medium body and with nice head and smooth taste. One of their best. The food was special at Eske’s. The green chili stew is a winner. The salsa was also the best we had in New Mexico.

Pale straw pour with virtually no head. Smells of sour cherries and earth. Taste is the bitter somewhat sour earthly flavor of buckwheat. Alcohol is prevalent.

Clear, deep golden body and a sudsy white head. Worty aroma with an odd note of chlorine and some nice rye character. Grapey malt character with rye notes and an iced tea flavor. Sweeter than expected. Has what seems to be Eske’s signature spicy hop character. A decent, light-bodied beer overall.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Braudog (4607) - Hampton, Virginia, USA - MAY 10, 2004
Amber with only a thin veil. Very light hop aroma; nice light and fruity flavor, almost with a hint of pear. I couldn’t detect the rye aspect at all, but it’s good.
