Alkoholen skiner igenom i aromen. Kraftig i aromen, enkel del honung. Väldigt len i kroppen. Druvig, som ett lätt lätt rödvin.

UPDATED: MAY 25, 2014 Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours clear dark ruby red with a small off-white head. Aroma has butterscotch, red berries . Taste is sweet with an increasing butter note. Finish is light bitter with butterscotch and red berries. Way too buttery to be enjoyable

Bottled@SBWF2013. Deep amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is ripe fruits, some toffee, alcohol and some slight gluelike sweetness. Flavour is fruity, herbal, mild toffeeish and ripe fruity notes along with a quite big sting of alcohol. A bit diacetylic as well, but not too disturbing. Also it’s bit fresh still, but if it’s allowed to mellow out a bit more, it will become very nice.

Sample SBWF 2013. Clear copper with a small head. Quite sweet aroma and taste of dried fruit, malt, raisin, nuts and some light vanilla. Smooth and easy to drink. I wonder when this one will peak?

Bottled at SBWF. Clear copper colour, small head. Unfortunately butterscotch dominate the nose. Sweet and caramelly with raspberry-like hop, warming and liqueur-like with well rounded mouthfeel. Butter dominate the finish too. Apart from the diacetyl this would be a nice barley wine.

Bottle (Stockholm Beer Festival 2013) - Copper coloured. Dried fruit, spice and leather in the aroma. Fruity taste with notes of honey, raisins, sultanas and marzipan. Very nice.

Bottle at Stockholm Beer&Whisky Festival 2013. Malty diacetyl aroma, toffee, vinous, hazelnuts, floral, fruity, some vanilla. Malty fruity flavor, diacetyl, grapes, raisins, some alcohol.

Bottle. Clear deep copper liquid with small off-white head. Aroma of toffee, butterscotch, caramel, toast, light yeast esters, licorice, vanilla and earth. Hard to tell if it’s really caramelly or has loads of diacetyl. Taste is light sweet and light bitter with notes of toffee, dried fruit, butterscotch and raw sugar. Light to medium bodied with low carbonation. A bit thin. The butterscotch component is really off putting to me, otherwise nice.

Tropical fruit aroma. Caramel flavor and slightly sweet. No alcohol taste which is a plus. Long aftertaste. According to me, this is one of the better Barleywine that I tried. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.
