Very nice colour and crown. Strong somewhat burnt chocolate aroma with notes of dark caramel and coffee. Taste of cold bitter coffee and chocolates. Dry aftertaste with loads of grape. Fulfills all the promises from this style, not my cup of tea though.

Bottled (thanks omhper!). Very murky deep brown colour, close to black, mediumsized foamy brown head. Aroma is grass, some sweet malts, mild spices and vegetably notes. Flavour is grass, sweet malts, some mild toasted notes as well as nice floral notes. Otherwise good, but quite thin palate. Feels more like a 4.7 % beer.

Bottle, bought @ Systembolaget, Hyltebruk. Pours opaque black with a lovely, large, staying, creamy, beige head. Aroma has roasted malts, spicy pepper, piney, light citrus. Medium carbonation, fine very dry and light creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has good roasted malts, dark chocolate, firm bitterness. Piney, grapefruit, citrus. Lingering malty bitterness. Very good.

Mörk men snabbt avtagande skum. Rostad, kaffesump. Lite citrus i eftersmaken, sen kom en viss beska fram.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Best before 2013-12-06. Pours black with a dense tan head with small bubbles. Sweet, smooth aroma, chocolate, dark fruits, minor tropical fruits. Smooth on the palate with soft carbonation, bitter chocolate ending.

Appearance: Black color with a small tan head. Some lacing.
Aroma: Chocolate, hoppy and fruity.
Palate: Medium to full body. Slightly sweet, and a fine bitterness. Soft carbonation.
Taste: Coffee, chocolate, grape hoppy and fruity.
Overall impression: Lovely beer!.

Black IPA, det är ju en förbannat trevlig ölstil. Det här är en bra öl med en mjuk fruktighet och en hård maltighet som försöker att samsas om plats i smaken, vilket i sig inte riktigt gagnar balansen. Kroppen är stabil och beskan biter, kort sagt en bra öl.

Bottle from Systembolaget in Eskilstuna. Smell of chocolate, cookies, dark malt and some citrus in the background. Malty taste but also allot of hops, grapefruit and pine. The only thing missing is a more powerfull hop aroma on the nose.
