Flaske 0,33l fra Systembolaget, e-beställning. Kjøpt sammen med Rune og delt under rateseanse hos meg 27 Sep 12. Svart. Mokkafarget skum. Forsiktig lakrisaroma. Myk munnfølelse. Lite kullsyre. Smaken er lakris & sjokolade. Litt tørr ettersmak.

Pours out of the bottle in a deep dark colour with very low head and medium body. Nose of malt and roast. Taste of malt, woods, autumn campfires, leaves, bittersweet chocolate and bitter coffee. Quite high bitterness. Finished off firstly like bitter medicine, but got better with air and temperature. Still no masterpiece and not quaffable at all. Below average.

Bottle from balderbitch - thank you very much. Well, this a strong Stout with a bit of skunk and bit smoke in the start. Very bitter indeed with only a bit sweetish chocolate moments. Very unpleasant and very, very special. Would not appreciate a second one.

0.33 L bottle, kindly shared by KnutAlbert. Big fluffy choco head. Body is opaque black. Dryish burnt cocoa aroma. Taste is dry cocoa or black unsweetened chocolate, with notes of spices and black pepper. Roasty with a distinct earthy bitterness. More than medium full. Alcohol warmth throughout. [09.02.13]

Huge brown lasting head. Opaque black body. Funky earthy chocolatey aroma. Dry roasty chocolatey taste with spicy notes. Fullish body. Mild mouthfeel. Dry cocoa and alcohol aftertaste with vinegary sooty notes. Nice, but a bit odd. (0.33l bottle shared by KnutAlbert.)

Had this at Tegners Gömställe in Stockholm. Good beer but feels perhaps a bit more of extra stout than imperial stout. Pleasant will have it again although the aroma was weak.
