COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

330 ml bottle bought through Systembolaget. Pours very dark chestnut brown with a frothy and fizzy grayish white head that leaves some trace and lacing on the glass while dissipating. Smell is sweet and smokey with sweetened bread, peat, smoke, wood, prunes, toasted malts and ash. Taste is sweet, tiny bitter and tiny sour with peat, wood, prunes, dates, raisins, smoke, dark bread, dark baking syrup and hints of grass and lemon zest. Mouthfeel is clean, very tiny watery and medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet, slightly bitter and tiny sour with dark bread, dates, smoke and peat. Quite nice but is in my opinion slightly lacking in body to make it perfect.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of omhper. Pours a warm and beautiful nutty brown with an off-white head. Sweet caramellish aroma with only a whiff of smoke. Rich malty body with some burned caramel - and now the Bamberg style smoke really comes through. Warming alcohol finish. If it has to be smoky this is not a bad stab. 020412
