50cl bottle courtesy of and shared with gnoff. Orangée léger opaque, col épais beige. Arôme est fruité et houblonné. Profile malt fruité assez pamplemousse qui ressort bien en avant, fleuri, pointe cara/sucré, l’amertume du houblon est là sans être trop en avant, le tout reste léger avec un pétillant minime.

Hazy deep copper to brown color, smallish tan head. Fruity, hoppy, cheeese scent. Malty at first, then intensly bitter taste. Dry chalky bitter finish. Too dry and bitter for me to fully enjoy it. Medium mouthfeel, high dry chalky bitterness.

Bottle (50 cl) from Systembolaget. Hazy deep amber, medium tan head. Earthy malt aroma, fruity hops with notes of orange and grapefruit. Light to medium bodied, medium carbonation. Dry with a bit salty bitterness.

Bottle. Hazy amber with a medium head. Not as hoppy as expected, actually a bit "tired". Citrus, some berries, bread and apricot. Light bitterness and with a fairly short aftertaste.

Ytterligare en single hop med en bäst före datum som snart går ut. Trots det finns mycket fruktig simcoekaraktär kvar i doften. Men kroppen känns lite trött och platt. Lite som att dricka engelsk cask ale. Även munkänslan är mjuk och len. Smakbilden är ganska murrig, visst finns humlen där och den har väl klarat sig okej, efterbeskan är rund men tydlig. smakerna drar åt citrus, tall, krusbär och engelsk blommig humle. Över förväntan, men mycket tropisk fruktkaraktär som brukar känneteckna simcoe saknas helt.

500 ml bottle bought through Systembolaget. Pours hazy dark amber with a small frothy off-white head that clings to the glass leaving lots of trace while dissipating. Smell is slightly sweet and floral with wet fermented grass, rotten citrus fruits, gooseberries, orange peal, pine and mushrooms. Taste is slightly sweet, bitter and tiny sour with bread, pine, grass, gooseberries, wet moldy earth, orange peal, rotten lemons and rotten eggs. Mouthfeel is slightly silky, slightly round and medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and bitter with grass, pine and orange zest. Smells of decaying vegetation and fruits and I must confess I’m not sure if it suits the beer or not. Taste has the same notes combined with sulphur-like rotten eggs which combines into a rather nasty experience. Possibly infected...

Linköping Beer Expo 2012. Bottle. Amber beer with a small offwhite head. Hoppy aroma with pine notes, some citrus, some sweet fruits. Hoppy flavor with nutty notes, citrus and some floral notes. Bitter citrus finish.
