COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

A really good stout with a lot of the flavor of coffee. Very scent but after her husband left for a while. Not nearly as dry luckily. This taste best in the barrel.

Bottle, bought @ Systembolaget, Hyltebruk.
Pours completely black with a small, staying, creamy, beige head. Aroma has pleasant roasted malts, soft astringency, a touch of dark chocolate, light resiny hops. Medium, prickly carbonation, light and pleasant dry mouthfeel. Flavour is all about the roasted malts, soft astringency still, light liqourice, some chocolate. Fine malty bitterness and some soft blackberry jam. Nice.

Taste: Smoked sausages, dark toasted bread, a faint sweetness, some dark berries. A bit chalky.
Palate: Medium carbonation, a light texture and small body, slightly dry.
Overall: A dry nice stout.

Draught@Man In The Moon, Stockholm (old backlog). Very deep brown, close to black, head with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is liquorice, mild roasted malts, some coffee and chocolate with mild floral notes as well. Flavour is rather similar with a nice bittery finish.

Bottle, expired 2012-06-10. I don’t care so much when it’s a stout, but I still think it’s a bit annoying: this is not the first old Eskilstuna beer they have sent to SB E-orders. Almost black with a large light brown head. Aroma: roasted with light sourish dry stout notes, light creamy. Taste: roasted, peppery, dry, salty licorice, chocolate, smoky and light sourish, coffee and tobacco, light grapefruit, a bit thin, medium-bitter. Medium-bodied. Definitely OK.
