COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bierkrug (1666) - Idar-Oberstein (In East Africa), - APR 6, 2011
330 ml bottle in Germany thanks to omhper. Warning this stuff exploads like a volcano. Over half the beer blasted out of the bottle and that was after it sat in a cool beer cellar for a couple of months. Pours a dark brown cloudy soupy look. Head was all over the kitchen but was a light brown color. Aroma is rasins, dark fruits, bubblegum and malts. Taste was nearly the same. Palate was mellow but not great either. Overall not bad.

_angst_ (999) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAY 18, 2012
330 ml bottle bought through Systembolaget. Pours hazy dark wooden brown with a small goldenish white head that quickly dissipates without leaving any trace on the glass. Smell is sweet, malty and fruity with sweet dark bread, plums, dark grapes, lemon zest, silage, yeasty almost rotten tropical fruits, caramel and hints of metal. Taste is sweet and tiny sour with dark bread, lemon zest, grass, caraway, walnuts, yeasty dough, plums, biscuits and dry soil. Mouthfeel is slightly sticky sweet, tiny tart and medium bodied. Finish is sweet, bitter and sour with dark bread, grass and orange zest.

courtesy of Per - pours a cloudy dark brown beer under a very foamy beige head; aroma of malt, barnyard, nuts and banana; pretty sweet and quite full-bodied; residual sweetness and a long malty finish with more weird notes of fruits and vegetables - a bit chaotic
