COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In 2011, 796 beers were entered for the Brewing Industry International Awards 2011, which were held in England. A renowned jury, consisting of experts from the brewing world, awarded ESTAMINET Premium Pils the highest score in the ‘Lager’ category. This gold medal, which is seen as an ‘Oscar’ within the beer world, is an important recognition and victory for PALM Breweries. The awards and medals will be presented during a gala event on 12 April at the prestigious Guildhall in London. ESTAMINET owes its premium quality (5.2% vol/alc) to the selection of the best natural ingredients: soft water, 100% high quality summer barley, a distinctive yeast and very precious Saaz hops. Slow, traditional bottom fermentation, a brewing process based on an original recipe and maturation for a full six weeks make ESTAMINET a true Belgian Premium Pils.

Aroma of corn syrup and Belgian yeast, like a fusion of cheap lager and Belgian ales. Very light yellow. Very tangy taste, similar to Palm ale only lighter all around. Similar grainy finish as well. Very crisp; it practically bites, which will prevent it from being mistaken for fleetmate Palm.

(Bottle, 0.25 l - BB 23.07.15, thanks FatPhil, 20150721) The beer poured pale golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had sweetness and a hint of grain. Palate was medium bodied with stinging carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, berries, grass, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. A weird and not good brew.

12oz bottle pours a pale yellow/golden with a medium white head. Aroma of grain and barley, grassy hops, with notes of yeast. Sweet malt and grain taste, a little cardboard, honey, yeast with a light grassy hop bitterness on the finish. Pretty decent.

5.1% ABV bottle of "Brabante Lager" from Rehills, Newcastle. Commercial description "Gold, soft and fruity hop aroma, becomes usual exceptional. For its freshness, moreover, it is the best alternative in the days and hot nights and beer to share moments of celebration." Hazy pale straw coloured with a thin creamy white head. It has a grassy, malty, sweet and slight herbal flavour followed by a bitter, slight herbal creamy finish

11 oz bottle. Decent co2. Fairly mild and laid back for an old country pilsner and I appreciate that. Actually I think it should be a pale lager its so smooth. Lacks any of that sharp pils bite so common with old country pils. Yes, an easy going beer Civilized and reserved, not bad overall and better than expected. Good interesting finish.
