COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In 2011, 796 beers were entered for the Brewing Industry International Awards 2011, which were held in England. A renowned jury, consisting of experts from the brewing world, awarded ESTAMINET Premium Pils the highest score in the ‘Lager’ category. This gold medal, which is seen as an ‘Oscar’ within the beer world, is an important recognition and victory for PALM Breweries. The awards and medals will be presented during a gala event on 12 April at the prestigious Guildhall in London. ESTAMINET owes its premium quality (5.2% vol/alc) to the selection of the best natural ingredients: soft water, 100% high quality summer barley, a distinctive yeast and very precious Saaz hops. Slow, traditional bottom fermentation, a brewing process based on an original recipe and maturation for a full six weeks make ESTAMINET a true Belgian Premium Pils.

Palms best Lager. Still not very good. Certainly not a serious compettitor to the common lagers in Belgium being Jupiler, Stella and Maes

Appearance: clear straw under a lovely white head with lace crawling up the sides. Slow stream of bubbles hold up a solid white blanket.
Nose: bread crusts, saltines, white crackers. Lemon and morning green grass in the back and along the edges. Grassy and straw. Hint of key lime.
Palate: yummy. Chewy in the middle with medium-light weight and a crisp finish. Grassy, key lime, and lemon pith underneath. White bread crusts. Soft bready sweetness in the middle – sweet Hawaiian rolls.
Final Thoughts: a nice clean crisp pilsner. I personally find extra special pleasure in enjoying a good pilsner of which Estaminet fit right in. A solid session which is no surprise considering it’s brewed by the same geniuses behind Palm.
